Trackman to be fitted in Whaleback Range upgrade

Posted on: 5 August

As part of a $4.5m Driving Range upgrade, scheduled to be completed in February 2026, Whaleback will be fitting the Trackman Range ball tracking system in its popular 42-bay double-story facility in Parkwood.

Trackman is an advanced ball tracking system that has shaped the way golf is played and practised across the globe, offering the industry’s best virtual golf, practice and entertainment software. It’s a great way to practice, play and have fun.

For the serious golfer, Trackman offers data-driven feedback from eight different data points, helping players practice with purpose and unleash their potential. For those interested in virtual golf, the system offers a huge selection of marquee courses, including the likes of The Old Course at St Andrews, Bethpage Black, Le Golf National, Muirfield Village, Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, Quail Hollow, Royal Birkdale, Royal Melbourne, Royal Portrush and Royal Troon.

When will the system be ready to use?
The full Trackman Range system, with individual bay monitors, is likely to be ready by February 2026. However, we are aiming to install an App-based system (no screens) by the start of November 2025. This means you will be able to use the Trackman technology on your phone, through the Trackman Range App.
