Driving Range
Whaleback Golf Course is a state-of-the-art golfing venue. It features a 42-bay floodlit Driving Range over two levels. The range includes Toptracer Range technology and a purpose-built coaching studio.
The driving range is fully covered offering year-round protection from the elements.
The driving range caters for both right and left-handed golfers. Bookings are not required and hire clubs are available at $7 for a set of three clubs.
To complement this fantastic practice complex we have two practice greens and a practice bunker.
Toptracer in 36 undercover bays
The latest in Toptracer technology is fitted in 36 bays at Whaleback. Track the flight of your ball, play closest the pin, virtual golf or challenge a friend to an online competition.
Toptracer Range has transformed the range experience at Whaleback. Toptracer Range ensures a fun, engaging, tech-driven experience. This appeals to seasoned players, range rivals, friends, family members and even first-time golfers.
Using cameras mounted around the facility, a monitor in each hitting bay displays accurate live shot data including:
- Distance
- Speed
- Launch angle
- Shape
This data can be used for practice or to compete in games and challenges with friends and other Toptracer Range users.
Range opening hours (winter)
Mondays: 7am to 8pm. Last bucket at 6.45pm.
Tuesdays: 9am to 8pm. Last bucket at 7.15pm.
Wed-Sun: 7am to 8pm. Last bucket at 7.15pm.
Public holidays – 6.30am to 8pm. Last bucket at 7.30pm.
Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve
Open 6am to 6pm.
Last bucket at 5.30pm.
Public holidays – normal trading hours apply.

Small bucket (50 balls) – $15.00
Large bucket (100 balls) – $26.00

Please wear appropriate clothing (no singlets) and substantial shoes (no heels, thongs or work boots).
