Driving Range

Whaleback Golf Course is a state-of-the-art golfing venue. It features a 42-bay floodlit Driving Range over two levels.

Please note: From 18 August 2025, the Driving Range will operate at limited capacity as we upgrade the facility. During this time we will have no ball tracking technology.

The driving range is fully covered offering year-round protection from the elements.

The driving range caters for both right and left-handed golfers. Bookings are not required and hire clubs are available at $7 for a set of three clubs.

To complement this fantastic practice complex we have a short-game practice area with two practice greens.

Range opening hours (Winter)

Mondays: 7am to 8pm. Last bucket at 6.45pm.
Tuesdays: 9am to 8pm. Last bucket at 7.15pm.
Wed-Thurs: 7am to 8pm. Last bucket at 7.15pm.
Fridays: 8am to 8pm. Last bucket at 7.15pm.
Sat-Sun: 7am to 8pm. Last bucket at 7.15pm.

Public holidays (unless stated otherwise below) – 6.30am to 8pm. Last bucket at 7.15pm.

Warm Up bucket (20 balls) – $5

Small bucket (50 balls) – $12

Medium bucket (100 balls) – $22

Large bucket (150 balls) – $29

Dress standards

Please wear appropriate clothing (no singlets) and substantial shoes (no heels, thongs or work boots).
